Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at Lipont Place, Richmond
On April 15th, 1912, Titanic, the world’s largest ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg. This summer, 106 years later, Lipont Place is pleased to announce that major international exhibition — Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition — is in Metro Vancouver. As an important stop on its international tour, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition has already visited cities such as Paris, Las Vegas, Dublin, Stockholm, London, Cape Town, Guangzhou, Orlando, Melbourne, and others.
“At Lipont Place, Titanic will find a natural home allowing both our venue and the Exhibition to make its debut to Metro Vancouver,” says Toni McAfee, executive director, Lipont Centre. “We look forward to welcoming all visitors, local and international, to our magnificent space and this world-class exhibition.”
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition opened June 23, 2018 and will run through January 11, 2019. The exhibition has been designed with a focus on the legendary RMS Titanic’s compelling human stories, best told through more than 120 authentic artifacts and extensive room re-creations. Visitors are quickly drawn back in time to 1912, receiving a replica boarding pass of an actual passenger aboard Titanic. They begin their chronological voyage through Titanic, moving through the ship’s construction, to life on board, to the ill-fated sinking and amazing artifact rescue efforts. They will marvel at the re-created accommodations, and press their palms against an iceberg while learning of countless stories of the maiden voyage.
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is produced by Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (OTCQB: PRXI), an Atlanta-based company with headquarters in Vancouver. The Company is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Titanic, its wreck site and all her passengers and crew through educational, historical, scientific and conservation based programs and exhibitions.
“Titanic is one of the most legendary tales of our time and we are thrilled to bring this remarkable exhibition to our hometown in Vancouver,” says Daoping Bao, Executive Chairman, President and CEO Premier Exhibitions. “Educational, emotional and appropriate for all ages, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the life of Titanic. Along the way visitors will learn countless stories of heroism and humanity that pay honor to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.”
