What Is tela?

Tela is a Spanish word which means fabric.

Tela Fashion Show and Exhibits was establish to promote Philippine Fashion.

TELA explores the indigenous and eco-friendly materials and designs that promote the Philippines’ ethno-cultural mosaic. Proceeds of this event will go to ANCOP Scholarship Program.

Welcoming fashion enthusiasts the world over with a cocktail reception, fashion exhibit and runway show, and pop-up shop, Tela 2015 Fashion Show & Exhibits celebrates the creativity of Filipino fashion designers in an evening poised to attract a great deal of media attention and bring notoriety to SINAG and its partners. The program is part of Pinoy Fiesta, an annual event that draws record-breaking crowd yearly.

Six designers from the Philippines feature their most recent creations using Philippine indigenous materials, such as Mindanao silk, coconut, and oyster shells, and many more.

Apart from promoting the Filipino talent in the international stage, Tela 2015 also raises money for Ancop International Canada, stands for ANswering the Cry of the Poor a charitable organization present in over 100 countries, for the purpose of alleviating the destitution of the poor through child sponsorship, community development, and humanitarian relief.
