PCTC, Philippine Consulate to Feature World-Class Philippine Artists at West Van Gala

October 14, 2015 — Get your tickets now: The Philippines Canada Trade Council (PCTC), in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Vancouver, will present a gala performance entitled “Autumn Serenade” at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver on Friday, November 27, 2015, at 6:00 pm. The show will feature artists from Manila and the Lower Mainland performing a repertoire of light classics, popular musicals, among others.

PCTC, a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under the Federal Laws of Canada and operating in British Columbia, continues to work to promote and assist trade and business between Canada and the Philippines through various networking, trade and information events.

“The purpose of the PCTC is to bring businesses together, promote fellowship, and foster goodwill among Filipino and Canadian professionals and businessmen,” said PCTC president Jorge Miguel Marcó. “Music brings people together, and much business is conducted in social settings. So we see this as an excellent avenue for building productive business relations and networks.”

Alfredo Lagman, Jr., PCTC director and chairman of this project, adds that this event gives the Council the opportunity to meet multiple objectives.

“Autumn Serenade will feature multi-awarded artists from the Philippines and, thus, will help to promote world-class Filipino talent,” Lagman explained. “At the same time, it will enhance PCTC’s profile in the business community and help the Council raise much needed funds for its operations and programs for the year.”

Projects slated for the year include the ongoing PCTC Speaker Sessions, entrepreneurship forums, and joint activities with the various boards of trade.
